Mrs. Wixom's and Mrs. Yeager's 3rd grade students, collected socks during the last week of October as part of Kid President's Socktober sock drive. This was a school wide effort! This project was initiated through discussion about how we can make a difference in the lives of others, even at 8 or 9 years old. Together, our Blackbird family collected 661 pairs of new socks! These will be donated to our Blackbird Pantry, where we will be able to distribute them to students and families in need.

The FCCLA Leadership Training event was awesome! It was held October 10 and 11 at Heartland Conference Retreat Center in Marengo, OH. Three Pettisville FCCLA Officers and one Evergreen FCCLA Officer along with their advisers and 300 other FCCLA Members from around the state attended the leadership training event. Students participated in team building events. They ran through an obstacle course as a team challenge, went on a night hike with the State FCCLA Officers, and engaged in leadership activities around the campfire. Each student also participated in the State Project Operation Gratitude where they wrote letters of appreciation to members of the military and law enforcement.

On September 22, 2016, thirty-six Pettisville students along with their adviser Mrs. Bacon and chaperones Eloisa Hernandez and Liz Miller attended the District FCCLA Fall Rally at Sauder Village. A total of 350 students and advisers from the Four County area were in attendance. Eleven district officers were initiated during the meeting. Four of the new district officers are seniors at Pettisville High School. FCCLA members learned about family life during the 1800's and early 1900's. Everyone toured the cider mill. It was a great educational experience for everyone.

The new website should be more mobile friendly. We also have an app that can be found in the App Store (Apple) and in Google Play (Google). Search "Pettisville" in either one of the products. There is also a link to both of the app downloads on the bottom right of the website.
