Enjoy a few more photos from Read Across America Week! Dr. Seuss has inspired many children to read with his curious tales, rhyming words, and silly illustrations. Our students and teachers had fun coming together to celebrate Dr. Seuss, dress a little wacky, and engage in reading activities. Keep on reading, Blackbirds!
As part of their Living Things: plants unit, Mrs. Aeschliman's KG class visited the FFA greenhouse on Friday. They drew different leaves, and are growing seeds in different environments- (no water, no sun, in sand, in rocks, in soil) and are going to be charting their growth. What a fun, hands-on project. Great job, Blackbirds!
Issue 6 of the Pet Echoes is out now! Check your emails for the link!
Mrs. Thompson's 5th-graders teamed up with Mrs. Hoffmire's Kindergarten students this week for Read Across America Week! Our PES students had a great time reading and dressing up this week. Keep it up, Blackbirds!

Senior Lucy and Mr. Mendoza were enjoying the ☀️ beautiful spring-like afternoon today! We'd love for this weather to stick around...
Officer Steve was a guest reader in Mrs. Wixom's class for Read Across America week. He read to the class and also provided some excellent safety tips. Thank you, SRO Schlosser, for always thinking of ways to keep our kids safe!
Mr. Hastings and the 6th-graders have been testing the potential and kinetic energy of matchbox cars and balls, and comparing their results. These halls may spark a flashback for some of our older Blackbird alumni... the old elementary hallway!
This week, Pettisville Elementary is invited to participate in Read Across America by dressing up each day. Stay tuned for photos of our PES students engaging in reading activities throughout the week.
