The Sunshine Club visited with another community worker, our school nurse, Karen King. She takes care of sick children, may help with a scraped knee or other wounds, and sometimes listens to lungs or checks temperatures. She spreads a lot of sunshine in our school. Lowie thinks she is an extra special nurse. Thanks for taking care of our Blackbirds, Mrs. King!

Is there any better way to kick off a Friday morning?! Mrs. Thompson brought in some of her Vizsla puppies on her day off as a reward for the 5th graders finishing state testing, but also to help connect the dots for Mrs. Hoffmire's kindergarten class. A few weeks ago, they studied the letter "X" and several types of X-Rays (one being Hazel's belly with the puppies inside). Needless to say, there were lots of smiles and snuggles from our Blackbirds! Thank you, Mrs. Thompson! 🥰🐶

Meet the Coaches & Team Photos for TeeBall and Minor League Teams will be on Thursday, May 23rd starting at 6 PM. Watch your email for more details/timing as the month progresses.
