At 2:54 p.m., a panic button was inadvertently pushed that gave the announcement for the district to go into lockdown. There was no threat, and no reason to lockdown, as confirmed by SRO Schlosser and administration.
Today, Mrs. Pennington welcomed Elise into her “kitchen” - The Dollar Diner. The lesson was an “interview” for counting change. They talked about the importance of being able to make the correct change to ensure that both the customer and the business have the right amount. Way to make learning fun, Mrs. Pennington!

Mrs. Wixom and Mrs. Yeager's 3rd grade students have been studying the life cycles of Monarch butterflies. Both classes have enjoyed watching their classroom "pets" go from egg to caterpillars 🐛 to butterflies 🦋. Enjoy these sweet photos of a few of their releases.

REMINDER: Today is the final day to register for Blackbird Running Club. Registration is open for PES students in 1st through 6th grade. The purpose is to introduce students to the fundamentals of running and the sport of cross country.

Mrs. Wixom's 3rd graders enjoyed their first Celebration of Reading today. Students brought in blankets/stuffies, a stack of books, and a special snack to enjoy while they quietly read for an hour. Way to go, Blackbirds!
Today our lower level elementary students learned all about bus safety. Thank you, Mrs. B and Mr. Gabe!
Mrs. Hoffmire's Kindergarten class, the "Star Burst Bunch", met many of their specials teachers last week during their first full week of school: Mr. Delphia, Art, Mr. Leppelmeier, Computer, and Ms. Stahl, Physical Education. It's going to be a great year of learning, Blackbirds!

PowerSchool no longer allows student passwords to be printed. Please get in touch with the main office or Mrs. Weirauch if your student needs help resetting their password.
