
The Archbold and Pettisville Softball Programs are joining together once again and would like to extend an invitation to all fans to their Hog Roast dinner. This dinner will take place on Friday, December 22nd prior to the boys’ basketball game between Pettisville and Archbold. Food will be served from 4:30 to 6:00 PM in the Archbold High School cafeteria. Carry out will also be available. A free will donation is appreciated and all proceeds will be divided equally between both softball programs. The menu includes: All you can eat pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, corn, chips, applesauce, dessert, and a drink.

On Tuesday, December 19, between the JV and varsity boys' games, the girls state runner-up 4 x 800 relay team of Liz Sauder, Nichole Foor, Morgan & Alexa Leppelmeier will be recognized.

This is a reminder that the start time for the girls' home with Edgerton for Saturday, December 16, has been changed. The JV game will start at 1:00 PM followed by the varsity game around 2:30 PM.

The JV GBK game at Hilltop on Friday, December 15 will only be two quarter game. This means the varsity game will start earlier than normal.

Pettisville students in FCCLA participated in Fulton County Christmas Cheer on Thursday, December 7th. The event was held at the fairgrounds. They helped families select important necessities to make their Christmas special.

The Pettisville High School quiz team took their unbeaten record into the finals of the Fulton County Quiz Tournament against Evergreen High School. They then defeated Evergreen to reign as tournament champions. Congratulations to this outstanding group of talented academics.


The K-12 pep rally was on Friday afternoon. It was lead by our Spirit Squad members. Go Blackbirds!



Mrs. Wixom's third graders are exploring states of matter, changing states of matter, and the science behind popping kernels of popcorn. Did you know, that even with our door closed, the smell of our popcorn reached Mr. Hoops's class within a couple of minutes? That's gas in action!

Twenty-four FCCLA members, along with their adviser Mrs. Bacon, and 2 adult chaperones, toured the Spangler Candy Company on Thursday, November 29th.


Varsity Girls Basketball Team defeated Fayette tonight 58 to 27 to improve to 2 and 1 on the season and 2 and 0 in the BBC.

Pettisville High School named the National Academic Quiz Tournament's Team of the week.

The Reward's Team held an assembly today. Awards were given for: Flexibility", "Glowing Example", "Showing Growth", "Rockin' Reader" and "Integrity".

7th grade students and seniors from NHS have been reading the book Wonder and discussing it once a week at lunch. Today they were able to see the movie and compare the two.


New members were inducted to the Pettisville National Honor Society tonight. Pictured are current and new members.


Today the high school quiz team traveled to Hicksville for their first ever National Academic Quiz Tournament. They finished the day in third place which qualifies them for nationals (not once, but twice). Congratulations to the team for this historic achievement and to Jake Myers for his being named to All Tournament First Team and to Levi Myers for being named Honorable Mention.
