The Pettisville FFA will host an all you care to eat pancake and sausage breakfast to celebrate FFA week on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. The community is invited.
The Pettisville FFA Alumni will hold a hog roast on Saturday, Feb. 18th from 10:30-1:30 in the cafeteria. Science fair and the FFA Greenhand/Chapter ceremonies will also be held that day.
This evening, the high school quiz team clinched first place in the Northern Buckeye Academic League head-to-head competition, doing so with a decisive 11-0 overall record. This win qualifies them to move on to regionals for the first time in school history. Congratulations to all members of the quiz team and quiz coach, Miss Dorosz.

4 FFA members competed in the District 1 Speaking Contest. Jacob Dennis-2nd extemporaneous, Gretchen Lee-4th advanced prepared, Kayla Wyse-6th beginning prepared, and Kaitlyn Weimken-8th creed.
Congratulations to Lyla and Dominic Heising for their success at the Fulton County Spelling Bee competition. Lyla earned her 1st Place award in the 7th grade division, and Dominic took 3rd Place honors in the 8th grade division. Best wishes to Lyla, who is a four time Fulton County Spelling Bee champion, as she advances to compete at regional competition for the third time.

The Freshman Class Fundraiser will be this Friday, January 27th, from 6:00 - 8:30 PM during the JV and varsity boys’ basketball game against Montpelier. There will be parfaits, Stella Leona coffee, baked goods, and a raffle with items such as a Polaroid camera, Starbucks treats, Pettisville sweatshirts, an R&R Tours gift certificate, and other local business and community donations. Veterans and those still serving in the military join the girls basketball players from Edon and Pettisville for the playing of the National Anthem on Military Appreciation Night at Pettisville High School on Friday, January 20th.
Spanish 4 students prepared an adventurous food tasting class for 2nd grade. Students learned how various Latin American fruits and veggies grow and how to prepare them, then sampled them.
Fifth graders are currently studying about Earth and its relation to space. They practiced saving the Earth with astronaut gloves. It is not as easy as it looks!
