It was a hot one today, but our Blackbird golfers didn't complain (too much)! We had a great day 1 of Golf Academy at Ironwood Golf Course. ⛳️
Thank you to our local sponsors:

Golf Academy Families: The coaches are looking forward to having your golfers at Ironwood Golf Course today. Please plan a little extra time to get to the course.
The railroad tracks are closed on Leggett Street (S-curve right by the golf course) as well as Lawrence Avenue (by Sara's Garden). RR track crossings are open on County Road 16 (east of the course) and Brunell Street (closer to downtown Wauseon near J & B Feed) or you can bring Co Rd D to Co Rd 15 to avoid the tracks.
We will see our 2nd-4th graders at 1 PM and 5th-7th graders at 2:30 PM!

From elementary basketball camp, community rec games, and the Athletic Boosters Birdfeeder... our Blackbird alumni continue to show up and give back to their community! The pickup football games at the South Fields tell a similar story of community with grades 2-8+ mixed together playing while parents, grandparents, teachers, and community members cheer on the teams. It takes a village, and I'm so thankful for ours! #PettisvilleProud

So many activities... so little time! Another fun event happening this week was the 5th & 6th grade cook-out. Thanks to Mr. Waldvogel, Mr. Burkholder, and Mr. Lee for grilling & Officer Steve on crowd control. 😅 The brats & hotdogs were delicious, and it was a perfect day! ☀️ 🌭
REMINDER: Don't forget to bring your Chromebook AND chargers to school tomorrow. Enjoy a screen-free summer!
Yesterday there was quite the commotion in town. Despite a few fender-benders, missing hubcaps, drivers honking their horns, and a few wheels that fell off.... the Pettisville Kindergarteners & First-graders made it to the 6th-grade Drive-In Theatre with the help of their teachers and Officer Steve. The PES 'Seniors' nailed it with a ticket line, concession stand, and even a video with rules to start the show!
Talk about a fun collaboration!
Great job, PES teachers & students!
